Clubs, events and challenges
Join activities, choose what to share and follow your step progress.
The Community tab brings together published clubs, events and challenges. You can browse before signing in; joining and managing your participation require an account. This guide describes the development build. Available activities and native tracking depend on the installed build and enabled services.
Some demonstration activities have AI-generated demo image captions. These illustrations are not photographs of actual members or an actual event. Read the activity's title, dates, venue and rules for its details. Artwork does not promise a physical gathering, attendance or a reward.
How do I join an activity?
Open Community, choose Events, Challenges or Clubs, and open the activity you want to join. Check its published information and rules before confirming.
An event link or code can take you directly to its details. An event may include a club and one or more challenges; the join screen explains the memberships involved. Joining an event does not automatically start a challenge counter or publish your health passport.
Use Find friends and clubs to look for people or clubs. Some clubs or submissions may be private or awaiting moderation, so they will not appear in public results.
How do I find followers and club members?
Updated app versions show Followers and Following beneath your profile. Tap a count to browse profiles, then open a member to follow them or request approval for a private profile. Availability depends on your installed app version; the current production API remains 1.5.0.
Your connection lists start private. Connection privacy offers a separate choice to show them to people who can view your counts. Shared relationships appear only when the relevant people agree. Making a profile public does not enable this setting.
Inside a club, Members opens the directory for current members. Your visibility in this club lets you choose whether your reviewed name, handle and membership appear there. This also allows those members to open your social profile; it does not expose your health passport. Members who have not opted in are absent from the list, so the directory can be shorter than the membership count.
Hiding yourself removes that listing. Leaving withdraws your related participation and clears directory consent; rejoining does not restore it. Blocking, muting, moderation and privacy choices can also hide entries. Club owners can review pending membership requests in Manage club / the request section.
When do challenge steps start counting?
Steps count from the challenge's recorded joining time, or its start time if it has not started yet. Earlier steps from that day do not count towards this challenge.
After joining, open the challenge and select Start live tracking. Grant the requested activity permission if you want the app to read your steps. The screen shows both your latest device count and the score saved to the server.
The development build refreshes the leaderboard about every 15 seconds while the challenge screen is open and tracking is active. Backgrounding the app pauses this live session. Device health updates and network connections can be delayed, so this is not an instant or guaranteed background counter. Return to the challenge and resume before it ends to catch up on supported readings.
Scores are labelled provisional. A provisional step count does not establish eligibility for prizes or merchant rewards. Only the activity's published rules describe any rewards that are actually offered.
Who can see my score?
Sharing has two separate choices:
- Member leaderboard: share the alias and score described on the join screen with the people who can access that leaderboard.
- Public event display: separately allow your alias and score on an event display that anyone at the venue may see.
Both choices start off. Review them for each challenge. Joining a club or event does not grant access to your private meals, blood pressure, glucose or clinical records.
You can update your sharing choices from the challenge screen. Leaving removes your score from its leaderboards; rejoining starts a new counting window. The leaderboard also shows your own row when it is outside the leading group.
How do I report or hide something?
Use the available safety actions on a person, club or supported content to report it, block it or hide it from your signed-in views. Blocking a person does not make a public event screen private: sharing on that screen remains a separate choice.
Read the in-app community rules before participating. Published dates, venues, entry conditions and rewards come from the actual activity listing, not from this guide.
