How do I log a meal?

Search for food, adjust the portion and confirm your entry.

From Records, choose Food, search the catalogue and enter your portion in grams. Review the estimate, then select Confirm and save meal while signed in.

Where do the calorie values come from?

The app uses the food catalogue and scales the calorie estimate to your portion. Entries labelled Provisional estimate have not yet been matched to a verified nutrition reference. They are estimates, not measurements or dietary advice.

How do I check that a meal was saved?

A successful save displays a confirmation and updates Saved meals. The daily total uses your device's current time-zone offset. Refresh saved meals reloads the server record.

If saving could not be confirmed, select Retry save. While the screen retains that pending meal, retrying checks and finishes the same save rather than creating another one. Pending drafts do not yet survive closing the app. Keep the app open to resolve an uncertain save, or check saved history before logging it again.

Can I log a meal from a photo or barcode?

When photo analysis is enabled, choose Scan a photo in Records. Agree to the processing notice, select the meal photo, then review each food and its portion. Catalogue matches use catalogue nutrition; unmatched items can use a labelled AI estimate. Both remain estimates. Nothing is saved until you review and confirm. See Meals and health records for photo handling and retry details.

Barcode logging is not available yet.
